When I wake up I see shadows cast on the wall from my pussy willows. It makes my day start off in a happy mood so I decided I would try to create a wall hanging that evokes the same feeling. It is not a literal treatment. Instead, it captures the feeling of faint shadows and branches. The center is a shell and it is placed on a base of waxed linen threads tied one at a time. There is a lacework covering of black glass seed beads over the entire piece. It is 16 x 16 inches.
